One Day Raw Foods Plan Recap

On Sunday I decided that Monday would be an all “raw foods” meal plan day. It goes with something called “meatless monday” where you take one day a week without eating any meat. I think the concept is that you give your body one day of rest from having to process meat which takes more effort than processing a tomato or kale. I did this once when my nutritionist explained how the Meatless Monday concept worked. I am looking forward to reviewing my raw foods one day plan below with my nutritionist and potentially trying it again in the future with any modifications she suggests.

It was a busy work day for me yesterday and I think that really helped stay on track and not think about food all day. I definitely struggled in the late afternoon but I got some well wishes to stay strong from the Cleanse America team which was great. Paul from Cleanse America suggested I drink a lot of water and that did help!

Breakfast:

  • My normal daily green smoothie – just a bit larger. The smoothie had strawberries, banana, apple juice, spinach, chia, and acai.

Lunch & Dinner:

  • Green lemonade juice – it has kale, apple, english cucumber, lemon and a few drops of liquid stevia

Late night snack:

  • Cacao smoothie – had cacao (which is raw chocolate powder), cherries, mango and 2 bananas

Overall I would say that next time I need to have a larger quantity of the lunch and dinner juices. I think that if I had more juice at lunch, I would haven’t had the cravings in the late afternoon. I’d also probably split up the breakfast smoothie into a breakfast smoothie and a mid-morning smoothie.
