These 8 Foods Contain Meat!

Back in March I wrote about how companies like Kellogg’s put “fake blueberries” in their cereals. Instead of actual blueberries, they basically use little balls of corn syrup that are dyed blue to look like blueberries.

Here is a graphic I came across yesterday. I don’t have any research to say whether the information is correct so you but if we assume it is correct, it’s pretty interesting information.

I remember eating rolls of those Smarties candies at Halloween growing up. And now I learn that the purple smarties are made using dyes that come from beetle-like insects. And the popular Altoids mints contain collagen from animal’s skin and bones.

I think I will stick to the fruits and veggies and some chicken that I eat. When you pick up a tomato or a carrot or spinach, you never need to turn the product over to read the ingredients list.
