While out doing my daily work errands, I decided to stop and try another juice. Regular readers will know the first juice didn’t go so well. I went to Daily Juice in Austin which apparently is a popular juice spot in Austin. Last night I checked out their website and it was suggested that this time I get something with more fruit so that it would taste great.
I arrived at Daily Juice and after a brief discussion with the cashier, I picked the “Pineapple Popeye” which contains: pineapple, organic spinach, organic parsley, lemon, and organic celery. The juice was warm (i like my drinks very cold) which was a downer but overall it tasted better. I drank almost the whole cup although in just 10 minutes it separated in the cup. I could taste the pineapple on the front of my tongue and the green part hit the back of my tongue – sort of like the first juice.
I think I am getting closer to finding a good juice to start from.
As a side note, I am a disappointed in the unfriendliness from the store clerk. I explained that I am a total newbie and asked for help in selecting a juice. There was almost no one in the shop and no one behind me in line. Yet the reaction was very cold and almost not interested in helping me. I could have been a lifetime customer of this Daily Juice shop but now I am not sure if I will want to go back for another $6 cup of juice. The staff at the juice bar at Whole Foods were much friendlier. And it sucks because Daily Juice is right on my daily driving route.
