Two Workouts in a Row!

Today is the first time in a long time that I have had back-to-back workout days! I’ve done a lot of day-on, day-off, day-off type plans but clearly if this body is going to get into shape, I’ve got to kick the workout level up a notch.

Yesterday I had my first workout with Diana. It was interesting – she likes what I will call “alternative exercises” – meaning that rather than typical weights, she did a few things that I haven’t done before but I definitely felt my body working. What’s good about these exercises we did is that they can be done anywhere and at any time and they use your body weight as resistance – something I have plenty of. I will probably have some feedback for her but want to give it a second session before providing the feedback.

Today I went down to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 31 minutes. This time I tried to walk a pinch faster and Diana pushed how important it is that I don’t hold on to the treadmill arms when walking. I found myself going back to the arms a few times today but tried really hard to walk without holding on.

Can I do a triple play and get a workout in tomorrow? I am sure going to try! My goal: finish the 2013 NYC Marathon.
