I stopped at Whole Foods today for a big stock up as they are currently offering $10 off $50 if you use an amex card. I now have enough peas and carrots for at least a couple of months. Also grabbed 3 bags of frozen strawberries and a bag of frozen peaches – have not tried a peach smoothie so that will be tomorrow’s smoothie trial.
Below is a picture of the vegetables I picked out. Whole Foods has a small area where they have cutup vegetables so I grabbed a small bit of each.
The vegetables are:
- bell peppers – yellow, orange red – taste just like I expected, has the texture of a crunchy tomato with the taste of something a bit more peppery and fiery
- kale – yea this is not gonna work raw I think – did not care for this
- celery – again, not sure I liked this although it did immediately remind me of my late grandmother’s chicken soup
