Ten Reasons to Lose Weight

A friend asked me yesterday, “why do you want to lose weight? what do you want?” It’s so easy to reply with the obvious things but the truth is that those obvious things all sit above the true most important reason to lose weight. I took a minute and then replied to my friend, “I want to be healthy.” The look was a bit odd but I quickly explained that without health, nothing else is truly possible.

While I am just starting this new healthy lifestyle, I’ve already noticed that as I improve my health, those other “obvious things” are starting to show up. I can’t wait to see what else shows up as I keep moving on this journey.

So I decided to make my first “motivational poster” – you can find it below. It has 10 great reasons to lose weight. You can share it on your blog, Facebook, where ever you like. And just pick one of the ten reasons and get going!

My goal is to work to improve my health every single day – some days might be huge leaps towards this goal, other days might be smaller steps but the key is to keep moving towards the goal of being healthy.
