This smoothie uses the superfoods of cacao, acai and chia. Check out some of the awesome health benefits of raw cacao powder – this chocolate packs taste and super-charged nutrition!  (source)

  • Cacao has more antioxidant flavonoids than any food tested so far, including blueberries, red wine, and black and green teas. In fact, it has up to four times the quantity of antioxidants found in green tea.
  • Raw cacao powder is a great source of magnesium, which is beneficial for heart health, good digestion, brain alertness, strong bones, and mental health.
  • A Harvard study focused on the Kuna Indians off the Caribbean coast of Panama who drink 5 cups of cacao every day, linking it to their lower rates of heart disease and hypertension.

I will be doing what I have done for the last 22 years, enjoying a nice dinner with my wife and then a nice relaxing evening together. We always have enjoyed chocolate at night but this year I will be talking her into this smoothie instead! I liked your facebook page Allen.

Sadly I will be on a plane back from Tokyo on V-Day so I don’t think I will be doing anything but hoping to sleep on the plane. I will say that thanks to your inspiration, I ate way better than I have on previous Tokyo trips. Staying with your blog has helped me to feel better while over here.

  7. Shonna

I will actually be spending it with both my husband and my parents. haha. Going out to eat and enjoying being at “home” for a little while :D

Hi there! I’m new to the blog but have been getting your smoothie newsletter for a few weeks. I love it! I have IBS so a lot of my meals have to be smoothies and they started to get a little boring.. Not anymore! I had no idea they made flavored stevia! That’s a game changer.
Anywho I plan to spend my valentines day at :/ I work at an Italian restaraunt so my night of love will be spent serving overly prices high carb meals to the love birds. *sigh*

Just realized I had quite a few typos *doh* that’s what I get for relying on autocorrect. Anyways, I liked the LTF Facebook page!

Aaanddd the nunaturals Facebook page :)

I’m spending valentines day working! But right after heading out of town to Baguio here in the Philippines! It’s a mountain area known here to have the freshest produce! Spending the weekend detoxifying in my log cabin with friends armed with my fave juicer and blender! I would so love to make the raw chocolate smoothie for them and blow their minds away! Hahahha

  10. Renee

I can not wait to try this smoothie! Chocolate is my weakness! Hopefully I can pick up some stevia today so I can make this smoothie. I will be going out to dinner with the hubby and friends this year for valentines day. Leaving the kiddos home :)

  11. Teresa Wolfe

I will spend the first part of Valentine’s Day with my 13 month old granddaughter while her mommy is working and then the evening will be spent with my hubby – probably go out to eat and then relax at home!

  12. Lauren H

I plan on spending Valentine’s Day by making heart shaped pancakes for my husband and daughter for breakfast, followed by heart shaped grilled cheese for lunch, and a steak and crab dinner. I also plan to do a scavenger hunt with my daughter and spending the day talking about love. <3

I teach a nutrition class on Thursdays to high school home schoolers. So I’ll do that on Valentines and then fix a special meal for hubby and 3 teenage sons. I’m not on Facebook. I use lemon, orange, root beer, and vanilla cream stevia, but haven’t tried the chocolate. Just started smoothies! Would love to be able to try the chocolate stevia!

    1. Allen Stern Post author

Wow – that’s awesome Kathy – teaching the importance of nutrition to high school kids is wonderful and will help them make the healthy choice as they grow up. Root Beer stevia – that’s a new one!

  14. Katie Skoog

I will be making my kids a special Valentine’s dinner at home with a raw twist to the menu! I liked NuNaturals Facebook page and yours last week. Thanks for the creative ideas and recipes for living a healthy, happy life!

  15. Roberta Naujok

Love your smoothie recipes, and love the idea of flavored liquid stevia! I’ve only used the powdered stevia or agave liquid, never liquid stevia before! I will “like” the NuNaturals FB page when I get home from work…thx!

    1. Allen Stern Post author

Thanks Roberta – very glad you like my recipes! Make sure you buy liquid stevia that is “alcohol-free” – it seems like some brands use alcohol – you can do some research to find out why I suggest this. I’ve been using NuNaturals since I started with stevia and have been happy with the quality of the product. Also, make sure you start with only a small amount as the liquid is very concentrated.

I will be spending this Valentine’s Day missing my incredible – albeit long distance – boyfriend, who will be busy training for basketball. I will continue my Thursday night routine in the gym with a Barre Burn class followed by Zumba before taking my roommate out to a fresh and healthy dinner!

  17. Kris

My husband is cooking me a healthy, delicious meal for Valentine’s day and I’m in charge of the ambiance. We’ll be spending a quiet evening together talking about our upcoming trip to London and Paris. We’ve never tried the Stevia flavored sweeteners before, but it sounds like a GREAT product. I have liked your FB page and get your daily smoothie emails. Loving this healthy lifestyle and so grateful to have you as a resource.

  18. Healthified Living

I’m not sure what I’ll be doing on Valentine’s Day. Maybe a nice lunch with hubby while the kids are at school. I liked both pages. Thanks for the great contest!

  19. Theresa

Your smoothie recipe looks great, just found you through Pinterest. For Valentines Day this year, my better half will be just returning from a trip to the middle east for work so we’ll have a quiet, jet lag powered evening that I’m guessing will end around 1900! We just exchange cards at Valentine’s Day, what we are both looking forward to is a trip at the end of the month that we gave each other for Christmas. Thanks for hosting a great giveaway!

    1. Allen Stern Post author

Nice to meet you Wendy! Please email me your pinterest link so I can follow you back. Sounds like a great plan for V-Day, and have fun on your holiday trip.

What a sweet…., pun intended….., idea. I’ve enjoyed reading your other guests comments and their plans for v-day. No plans yet but I’m trying to get my boss to have a smoothie a day for health purposes. After reading your blog I realized she wasn’t ready for the amount of greens in her drink. Thank you for making this such an informative blog. Back to the cutting board….. It’s not easy being green. : )

I plan to spend Valentines Day home schooling my 3 beautiful kids, then off to work in the afternoon with the elementary school kids at the daycare where I am a director. 34. Mad Betty

Great post, Allen. I use stevia in my coffee every morning, but have never thought to put it in my smoothies and I’ve never tried flavored stevia. I’ll be trying out your recipe. That looks delicious.

  35. Megan

I want to win so I can try some stevia. I stayed home today “sick” to have a great day with my boyfriend. Winning this contest would be the icing on the cake.

  36. Joe Moretz

I surprised with wife with a dinner cruise – we had a wonderful time and she was so excited – normally I don’t do any thing but some flowers but this year I wanted to show her how much I love her and I thought a nice evening out enjoying the scenery along the river was going to be perfect – and it was perfect.

On another topic, I do very much enjoy your smoothie recipes Allen. I take one to work almost every morning.
