Julia Child’s Wisdom for Cooking But Really for Life

Julia Child would have been 100 yesterday. Most experts would say that she gave birth to French cooking in America and I remember watching her when I was a kid. I didn’t always understand what she was saying but I saw the amazing passion she had for cooking and for life.

This morning I posted a quote from Julia Child on Instagram and this afternoon my nutritionist posted a different quote this afternoon so I thought I’d share both. What’s amazing about both quotes is how much they really relate to life not just cooking.

The first quote, “This is my invariable advice to people: learn how to cook, try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, BE FEARLESS and above all…have fun.”

Rewritten for life, “This is my advice for all people: learn how to push yourself, try new things, learn from your mistakes, BE FEARLESS and above all…have fun.”

The second quote, “It’s fun to get together and have something good to eat at least once a day. That’s what human life is all about…enjoying things.”

Rewritten for life, “It’s fun to get together with others and have great conversations at least once a day. That’s what human life is all about…enjoying our time with each other.”

Thanks to Julia for your learnings – I think my recipe next week will be from Julia!!
