Drink Your Greens?

It’s been a couple of weeks since I learned some amazing green juice recipes. Basically every day since that point I’ve been drinking a 16 ounce jar of green juice. Most of the juice has been the green lemonade which is my favorite because it is super easy to make and tastes just like a freshly squeezed lemonade.

I am thinking that going forward I want to drink my greens everyday instead of the normal eating method.

I’ve been eating salad greens (generally spring mix) and while it tastes fine, it is boring and takes forever to chew an amount large enough to satisfy. Whereas with the green juice, it is just a few minutes of enjoying the beverage and I am done.

Also, since the juices are heavy in kale or swiss chard, I think i am getting better nutritional value than I would with the standard lettuces. I already eat a ton of spinach in my daily smoothies so I am covered there.

Most of my session last week was around the topic of juice feasting (also called juice fasting). I almost feel like I am getting to the point where I want to give it a try. Or at least replace lunch every day this week with a juice and see how it goes.

Lastly, I think the juice is definitely helping me lose weight. It’s definitely pulling out some of the waste in my system and I am guessing if I did a juice feast that I would lose a ton of the waste similar to the colon cleanse I did last month.
