I have joked many times that since I stopped eating fast food 13 months ago, McDonalds would go out of business. Who knew that my joke would come true?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
This past weekend I was shopping at Walmart (post coming later this week about my purchases and why they were important for the journey) and on the way home, I passed the McDonalds I used to eat at way too often.
But something was different – the parking lot had barriers around the entry, there were cranes in the parking lot and destruction everywhere. I swung a quick turn as I had to see this for myself! I stood in the parking lot for 20 minutes looking at the building, watching the cranes hit the building – it was a zen moment for sure.
It wasn’t my birthday last weekend but it made me smile from top to toe watching the building I ruined/wasted my life at for so many years crumbling while I know that inside myself I am working everyday to repair the damage I have done.
